Sector-level adaptation challenges in the literature
Based on literature reviews, climate hazards, adaptation decision criteria, impact categories, and main uncertainties are defined for the energy, transport, and tourism sectors in the various climatic zones in the EU.
Deliverable 1.1

Opportunities for tool-assisted decision support.The cases for energy, transport and tourism
In this report we review to what extent available economic models can satisfactorily represent direct and induced economic effects of climate change impacts, notably those impacts played out via energy and transport infrastructure and via the tourism sector.
Deliverable 1.3

Specification of the next-generation toolset
This deliverable describes the outline of the next-generation toolset. It builds on the knowledge regarding ToPDAd’s stakeholder interests and the scientific approach as sketched in the project proposal and elaborated in the first year of the project.
Sector specific and generic impacts of enhanced weather and climate services in a changing climate
This report reviews how innovations in weather and climate services can contribute to effective adaptation to climate change, what innovations seem to have a significant economic potential, and how selected innovations can be taken up in the sector modelling of ToPDAd.

Overview of system responsiveness to climate change impacts in energy, transport and tourist sectors
In Deliverable 2.3 the case themes in energy, tourism and transport sectors are defined, including the specification of each case theme scenario. For each case the stepwise (modelling) approach is outlined, the planned output is described, and the system responsiveness is discussed.

Report - Climate hazard and impact scenarios
This report presents the basic scenarios used in ToPDAd and the different building blocks which the scenarios are constructed with - including emissions projections (RCPs), socioeconomic scenarios (SSPs) and policy assumptions (SPAs). An impression is provided of the output of the scenarios - through maps and graphs presented on a grid over Europe's territory.
Report - Sectoral and cross-cutting multi-sector adaptation strategies for energy, transport and tourism
This is the last synthesising report of Work Package 2 that covers sectoral assessments. The report presents and discusses the results of the sectoral assessments in seven case studies, covering different types of climate change impacts and adaptation challenges in the energy, transport and tourism sectors, in different parts of Europe.
Deliverable 2.4 - updated version of July 2015
A review of impacts of climate change on health and productivity in Europe
This deliverable reviews recent quantitative and qualitative findings about the impacts of climate change on health and worker productivity in Europe. Besides bringing an overview of the possible effects of climate change on people’s health and the resulting socio-economic consequences, the review also serves as a reference for integration of the impacts on health in a macroeconomic model, GRACE, in the final stage of the ToPDAd-project.
Assessment of environmental impacts under alternative adaptation measures
In Deliverable 3.3 the GINFORS3 model is presented, which allows to make simulations until 2050 for 38 national economies and a "rest of world" region. The model provides insights in the evolution of industries, trade patterns, public debt, private household incomes, and emissions from 28 energy carriers.
Integration of top-down and bottom-up analyses of adaptation to climate change in Europe - the cases of energy, transport and health
This deliverable explores linkages between the results from the case studies and macro-modeling of climate impacts and presents the results of the health case study.
Feedback on the demonstration
This report present the feedback and experiences from the testing of a novel decision-support methodology for climate change adaptation decisions. Two energy-related demonstration cases, one about power sector adaptability and one about the effects of drought on French electricity supply, are presented. The methodology is described in the next deliverable 4.3.
Demonstration description - visualisation of robust adaptation strategies
This deliverable describes the Strategy Robustness Visualisation Method, developed by ToPDAd to visualise different criteria used by decision makers when they plan adaptation. The approach can be used instead of or as a complement to cost-benefit analysis.
